Looking forward to IBC2017 and back at NAB17

IBC2017

We will be supporting the UltraHD Forum with running new demonstrations of mass-market UltraHD HDR in conjunction with other members of the UltraHD Forum as part of the EBU Technology and Innovation Stand at 10.F20. This will be from Thursday 15th September, right through to the end of the exhibition on Tuesday 19th September. We shall have a demonstration of end to end IPTV delivered UHD HDR, STB based SDR/HDR conversion / display adaption, amongst other things. Feel free to drop by, but it is a good idea to secure a demo spot.

UHD: Where we are and where we are going?

Ian Nock will also be presenting as part of the masterclass, “UHD: Where we are and where we are going?”, taking place in E102 from 12:00 to 14:00 CET on Monday 18th September, presenting on what Plugfests are telling us about the future of UHD.  This is part of the Advances in Technology Stream of the conference and is open to all attendees of the exhibition and conference. The masterclass is led by the UltraHD Forum and will also see contributions from Dolby, NAB, Fraunhofer IIS, b<>com, Harmonic and DTS-Xperi.

Looking back at NAB17

The demos that we are running at IBC are a continuance and enhancement of those we undertook at NAB17 in April. These were demonstrations of real world UHD HDR and future developments. The demonstrations were well received and we have produced a series of blog posts on behalf of the Ultra HD Forum which you can read below.
