Ian Nock took part in the recent ‘The SCTE Presents: The Future of Tech’. It aims to address the evolution of technology and the transition around it as it applies to the broadband industry.
The panels of industry experts addressed key themes across the day:
- Artificial intelligence applications in B2B and B2C scenarios
- Energy requirements including the question on Nuclear
- Telecoms technology transition in the upcoming POTS turn off and transition to VoIP
- National grid preparedness
- Circularity
- Rare earth minerals
- Sustainability.

If you wish to take part in the AI homework for the day, how about creating two full glossaries with references for the two word clouds from slides 3 and 4 of the presentation slides below using your favourite multi-modal AI application and a prompt of your choosing.

“Create an A to Z definitions list for all the terms mentioned in the wordcloud on slide 3, including full text definitions with relevant links to the definitions for each term, and output this into a Word Document” and just add the PDF to it, and you will get a nice referenced Glossary document derived just from the terms. Just change the slide number for a second glossary. Works quite well, and note how it pulls in referenced sources for the definitions.
