On 24th June, I took part and moderated in an IET Webinar looking at Digital Twins from various perspectives across several industries. I took part based upon my work with the Ecoflow IBC Accelerator from last year, where I worked with multiple media technology participants (Accedo, Channel4, European Broadcasting Union, Humans Not Robots, ITV and others) in creating a Digital Twin focused on forecasting energy use in streaming media platforms.

It was an interesting discussion that very much focused on the opportunities and challenges around the creation and use of Digital Twins. It is worth it to skim through the range of perspectives if you want to understand more about Digital Twins.

If you can take one thing away from it, I would say that the technical challenges are not big issues. The big issues is getting and using reliable data, and the sustainability work of Ecoflow is not the only place where getting good, reliable and trusted data is the big issue.
